Bollywood's first superstar Rajesh Khanna passed away Wednesday following prolonged illness. His actor son-in-law Akshay Kumar says he has gone to a "nice and heavenly place".

"I regret to inform everybody my father-in-law Mr. Rajesh Khanna is no more. He has gone to a nice and heavenly place, we are happy about that. I hope everybody who is watching this can just say a small little prayer for him," Akshay told reporters here.

Kaka, as he was popularly known, is survived by wife Dimple Kapadia and daughters Twinkle and Rinke. He was 69.

He had been battling with health issues for a long time, and was admitted to the hospital in the last one month. His funeral will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

The film fraternity, country's political leaders and fans remembered with great fondness the "phenomenon" that he was.

Several celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Yash Chopra, Rishi Kapoor, Prem Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan, Anu Malik, Vindu Dara Singh, Sajid Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan turned up at the actor's Bandra residence Ashirwad.

The news of Rajesh Khanna's death came in just a week after veteran wrestler-actor Dara Singh's demise July 12.

Veteran actor Manoj Kumar told on phone: "I could not believe that he is no more with us. Earlier it was Dara Singh, now it is Rajesh. I feel god is upset with the industry. Rajesh was a different personality. He made a mark for himself through his hard work."

Rajesh began his career with "Aakhri Khat" in 1966. He became a superstar like no other with his work in hits like "Aradhana", "Do Raaste", "Safar" and "Anand". He was last seen in a TV commercial for Havells fans earlier this year.

The Tamil/Kannada bilingual movie 'Mirattal' is all set hit the screens soon, which has Vinay in lead role.

It was directed by R. Madesh and also he is produced the film under the banner of Majestic Multimedia. 'Mirattal' is simultaneously releasing in Kannada as well along with Tamil on July 27, 2012.

Sharmila is doing female lead role. The film also has Santhanam, Ganja Karuppu, Pradeep Rawat, Mansoor Ali Khan, Pandiarajan, Uma Padmanabhan and Adams in pivotal roles along with Prabhu.

Praveen Mani is scored music foe the film and Kannan handled cinematography.

Ajith starrer 'Billa 2' had seen very good opening weekend at the overseas market.

The film has opened big on Friday and sees some drops in business in Saturday and Sunday. In the U.K box office the film has collected Rs. 62,17,491 (£ 72,120) on 19 screens in its opening weekend and its average working out per screen Rs. 3,10,874 (£ 3,606).

In the first weekend 'Billa 2' has collected Rs. 84,93,086 ($ 154,000) on 31 screens at the U.S box office.  And in the Australia box office the film has collected Rs. 27,67,204 (A$ 48,743) at opening weekend. Average working out per screen Rs. 5,53,463 (A$ 9,749).

Simbu to join Vaalu at Hyderabad

Simbu and Hansika starrer 'Vaalu' which is directed by a debutant director Vijay Chandar has going on in fast pace in Hyderabad.

The talkie portions apart from the song sequences are all set to complete. The director Vijay is shooting the important scenes from the film. It's heard that all the talkie portions for the film will be wrapped up in this schedule apart from songs.

Meanwhile Santhanam and VTV Ganesh are playing pivotal role in 'Vaalu'.  S. Thaman scoring music for the film. Shakthi is handling cinematography and editing by T.S Suresh.

It was produced by S. S. Chakravarthy under the banner of Nic Arts.

Pop star Lady Gaga has thrilled fans by creating the world's first-ever black perfume.

The 26-year-old has teamed up with bosses at fragrance firm Coty Beauty to release Lady Gaga Fame, reports contactmusic.com.

"It is the first-ever black eau de parfum… and it will smell different on different people," said Coty Beauty executive Steve Mormoris.

The clear bottle, shaped like an egg, features a claw-inspired cap and the words "Ultimate Masterpiece" inscribed along the side.

The product will hit stores in the US in August.

Singer Rihanna will create her own fashion line for British high street chain River Island.

The 24-year-old's clothing collection will be available from next year.

"I've been wanting to design my own collection for some time. River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with and working with a British, family-run business also really appealed to me," contactmusic.com quoted Rihanna as saying.

"I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes. I'm looking forward to working with them and creating something really special," she added.
