The most awaited film of the year Ajith starrer 'Billa 2' which is released on July 13, had took an earth shattering first weekend. 

It shows the actor Ajith's star power at the box office. The film theater occupancy over the weekend is 95% all over TN. Ajith Kumar once again proves that he king of opening.

The film producer Sunir Kheterpal said that "'Billa 2' has grossed around Rs. 38-40 crore in its opening weekend across India." Source said that the film has grossed Rs. 27+ crore in Tamil Nadu and Rs. 11+ crore in Rest of India before the tax cut.

Trade says that 'Billa 2' has approximately collection after tax cut Rs. 17.75 crore in 3 days at Tamil Nadu.  

'Billa 2' first weekend breakup:- (After tax cut)

Friday – Rs. 7.61 crore, Saturday – Rs. 5.23 crore and Sunday – Rs. 4.92 crore.

After Katrina Kaif and Vidya Balan, it's Rani Mukerji's turn to do a lavani item number. She has done it in "Aiyya" and the song has been choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant.

"Rani does three item numbers in her dream in 'Aiyya'. In this film, the girl has this habit of dreaming. One of her item numbers is a lavani song, again in her dream," Sachin Kundalkar, director of the film, told.

"She was quite good with her lavani dance. She shared a great equation with Vaibhavi Merchant. She did rehearsals on the sets. So it's a rapid, classical, sensuous lavani song," he added.

Co-produced by Anurag Kashyap and Viacom 18, the movie is said to be about a woman who finds a man desirable because he smells good. Rani plays a Marathi girl in the movie and is paired opposite southern star Prithvi Raj.

Final editing of "Aiyya" has been locked and Kundalkar added that "final edit happened yesterday (Sunday), which was locked by Anurag Kashyap. He really liked the film".

My statement on Sonal misinterpreted: Neil

Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh says his statement on his closeness with his "3G" co-star Sonal Chauhan was misinterpreted, but admits "I really do like her a lot".

"Sometimes, unfortunately what you are trying to say is always misinterpreted and her interview (in which she slammed Neil's statement) was to just balance that out," the 30-year-old said on the sidelines of the launch of dietician Pooja Makhija's book "Eat, Delete".

Neil had reportedly confessed to being in love with Sonal and also stated his wish to marry her. This did not go down too well with Sonal and she slammed Neil for making such claims. But he says all's well between them.

"There is no hatred between Sonal and me. We are both very fond of each other and I still do admit the fact that I really do like her a lot," he added.

Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Asin and Prachi Desai starrer 'Bol Bachchan' which is directed by Rohit Shetty had am very good second weekend.

The film was affected by the new release 'Cocktail' on Friday, but strengthens its status on Saturday and did excellent business in Sunday. The single screen business of 'Bol Bchchan' remained largely unaffected.

Bol Bchchan second weekend breakup:-

Friday – Rs. 3.25 crore, Saturday – Rs. 5.35 crore and Sunday – Rs. 7.03 crore.

'Bol Chchcan' has totally collected Rs. 82.44 crore nett in 10 days at the Indian box office.
